Okay, we're totally kidding. But the editors of Cracked.com are ready to blow your mind with their new comedy trivia book 'You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News', jam-packed with fascinating trivia including 'The Four Most Badass Presidents of All Time' and 'The Awful Truth Behind Five Items on Your Grocery List.'
The Cracked.com team chatted with PopEater about the new book and weighed in with their humorous opinions about four reality stars who shouldn't be famous, as well as their Oscar picks for Best Picture.
What inspired you to put together this compilation of crazy facts?
We were sitting around, and we said, 'Hey, we should have a book,' and then we made one. I feel like we beat the internet: we killed it, crushed it, and now we want to infect book stores.
You guys dedicated a section in the book on the 'Most Badass Presidents.' Who would be the Top 3 Most Badass action heroes?
John McClane wins the badassness for the first three 'Die Hards,' although I ignore 'Die Hard 4.' But in the first three, he's the most badass because he's the most grounded and most human of all action stars ... I don't think you can top badass-ery with Clint Eastwood in the old Spaghetti western days, 'A Fistful of Dollars,' when he looks up from underneath the brim of his hat -- that was like a formative moment of my childhood. I was just inching back from the TV screen in awe. The man is astounding. I also want to throw Shaft in there.
Who are your Top 3 or 4 famous reality stars who shouldn't be?
I'm just gonna leap in and say 'The Situation' and the whole ab situation dynamic. I only know about it through the filter of pop culture. I only know this man exists and has these fabulous abs because of jokes about him, and to me that's the ultimate not-needing-to-exist statement. He's only there to be made fun of.
I would throw a vote for Jon and Kate Gosselin. Before I knew about the show, I already knew their names. Kate is still everywhere. She's been on 'Dancing with the Stars,' has her own reality Show and then there was a cross-over with Sarah Palin's reality show. You want just sit and say 'What did this Kate Gosselin do? Her contribution? Why are we talking about her? What is the skill she brings to the table?' It's nothing.
But if we're going for a third, Tim Gunn. I love him. He should be famous for his crime fighting, but he's not, he's famous for being a great designer and a great human being, and that's fine too.
Which celebrities are going to make it next year and do well?
I'm excited to see what Conan does with his new situation. For people who are going to blow up next year and become huge household names for good reasons, it has to be Jennifer Lawrence from 'Winters Bone' and Donald Glover from 'Community.' You know him from 'Community,' but by next year, he's going to find the right movie vehicle to turn him into a huge, huge star.
Give me your Oscar picks for Best Picture.
I'm going to ignore the Golden Globes and say 'True Grit' even though I haven't seen it. My trust in the Coen Brothers, Jeff Bridges, and old movies are so strong that Golden Globes means nothing. They are weaker than the pedigree of this movie.
'You Might Be A Zombie and Other Bad News' will be released on Dec. 28. Order your copy today.
