2010 will be remembered for a number of reasons, one of which will definitely be the incredible number of celebrity splits that took place this year.
The end of some relationships, like the infidelity-fueled breakup of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, shocked the world, while others, like Zac Efron's split from girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, were less dramatic.
Falling into the latter category is news of Lo Bosworth's split with boyfriend of two years, businessman Scott Hochstadt. According to Us Weekly, Bosworth, 24, and Hochstadt, 33, ended things after realizing that they wanted different things from the relationship.
A source close to the couple told Us, "The age difference was a lot, and they are at different places in their lives."
Although Bosworth said, regarding engagement rumors, "We are sort of heading in that direction," even referring to Hochstadt as"the One," the duo reportedly put the brakes on things on Tuesday night.
Hochstadt, who appeared in the 2009 series finale of 'The Hills' was conspicuously girlfriend-free at the 'Family Guy: It's a Trap' launch party at L.A.'s Supper Club, opting to bring is parents instead.
A friend of the couple's denies any strife between the two, explaining, "They had talked about getting engaged quite a bit, but over the last couple of weeks it really unraveled... They are taking it slow as friends."
Luckily for her, Bosworth has plenty to keep her mind of the split: her website, The Lo Down, has become a hit with fans, and her book of the same title, published by Simon & Schuster, hits shelves next month.Filed under: Famous Couples - Splitsville - TV News Tags: lo bosworth
